The Calgary Flames are very clearly going to be sellers this year with Nikita Zadorov, Chris Tanev and now Noah Hanifin, but with until recently Hanifin wanted to stay a Flame.
Now, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Hanifin was actually the one that broke off negotions; take a look.
Like some other Flames players it seems that Hanifin isn't happy with the teams direction and what they've shown so far this season. As much as Hanifin wanted to stay with the Flames, it seems the way they're going, isn't a culture a lot of people want to be around.
Hanifin, 26, has played in 16 games for the Flames this season and he's off to a slow start, only collecting 3 goals and 4 assists for a total of 7 points.
It seems retaining good players has been a for the Flames in recent years, at this point, do they need an overhaul from the top down? There seems to be no passion and no desire for players to stay.
