Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau are being remembered Monday by the greater hockey community, extended family and the Gaudreau family. During the eulogy, Meredith thanked Kevin Hayes and Sean Monahan for shaping Johnny into the man he became. She also mentioned how Johnny loved Sean so much.

While sharing so many things about Johnny, she made it known that she was pregnant with their third child, which would have made them, a family of five
Sharing your grief with the world has got to be the hardest thing to do, but Meredith did an incredible job while fighting emotions and tears. It's hard to fathom anything she is going through right now and the fact that she will be raising three children alone is a difficult idea to understand.
Even with all the support the families will receive in the days, weeks, months and years ahead, the feelings and emotions will always be present. Grief isn't linear and comes in waves, but it feels like through this tragedy Meredith is making a point to remember her husband and sharing how wonderful he was as a father as her children grow
