Dylan Larkin Calls Out Detroit Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman For Lack Of Deadline Moves

The 2024/25 season was meant to be the one that saw a major turnaround for the Detroit Red Wings, but unfortunately, their Stanley Cup Playoffs drought has been extended another season after major struggles down the stretch.

That's a fact that didn't sit well with captain Dylan Larkin, who surprisingly called out the Red Wings on locker room clean out day, as he clearly rued the fact that they didn't do much at the trade deadline.

Clearly, the captain is frustrated that the team didn't get a boost early in March at the trade deadline, and while they still had the opportunity to make a late push, many things went against them down the stretch.

With a team that's not got immense depth with their veterans struggling to step up in a significant way, this is a Red Wings team that has many questions to answer in the summer, and if they can't do that, they risk frustrating their intriguing and talented young core.

At this point in time, it's unclear what Steve Yzerman and Detroit's front office can do to turn the team around in a hurry and get them to contend, but if they don't use their significant assets in a wise way to get the team back into post-season contention and the frustration continues to grow, we could see some major and shocking moves down the line.
