There was nothing subtle about this one. It's a straight-up elbow that includes an extension of the arm to ensure it lands.
Adam Erne of the Edmonton Oilers will likely be receiving a phone call from the NHL's Department of Player Safety following this elbow on the Seattle Kraken's Pierre-Édouard Bellemare. Erne clearly extends the arm in a chicken-wing like motion to make sure he gets Bellemare square on the jaw.
Erne received a minor penalty for an "Illegal Check to the Head" for his actions. I don't see any way this one doesn't end up with at least a fine, if not a suspension. We shouldn't have to wait long to find out.
