The Edmonton Oilers are in a do-or-die game six, which they must win; however, luck is not on their side early as a goal that would have potentially put them up 2-1 heading into the second period was disallowed.

The play in question involved a puck that was potentially scored by Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard; however, due to Conor McDavid skating through the crease and bumping Canucks goaltender Arturs Silovs, it was waved off. Zack Hyman was also crowding the crease at the time, along with two Canucks defenders

In a must-win game, it is essential to make every moment count and a disallowed goal can be a back breaker. If either team hopes to win, the little mistakes that can be avoided must stay at a minimum.

Whatever happens the rest of the night, it's a great series between two great Western Canadian opponents that you would hope can continue to build a rivalry moving forward.
