Connor McDavid left practice on Sunday, but after it was all over, Kris Knoblauch gave an update that will let all Edmonton Oilers fans breathe a sigh of relief.

The Edmonton Oilers have already lost Zach Hyman for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and on Sunday, a worrying report emerged on captain Connor McDavid, who reportedly left practice early after speaking with the training staff.
That left many fans worried about his status ahead of Game 1 on Wednesday night, but thankfully for those fans, Kris Knoblauch has quickly given an update on McDavid's status.
No issues, he will be ready for Game 1.
At this time of year, almost every player remaining in the playoffs is incredibly banged up, so it's more likely than not that McDavid simply needed some rest after what has been a very gruelling season for everyone in Edmonton.
Down in Florida, there's also bound to be numerous players dealing with niggling or even serious injuries as well, and perhaps the result of these Stanley Cup Playoffs simply come down to who is the healthiest or who can fight through the pain more.
Unfortunately for Edmonton, they're already down Hyman, so the last thing this team would want to deal with is an injury to their leader and their biggest star, with this update being a hugely positive one for Edmonton.
Now, all that's left to do is stay healthy through until Game 1 in Edmonton, and then, we'll see the two best teams in the NHL do battle as they both look to hoist the Stanley Cup above their heads in 2025.
