Last week, Chris Smith from Icethetics shared in his Jersey Watch video on YouTube that the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings will be undergoing rebrands that will bring back a nostalgic feeling with the return of the Mighty Duck logo and Gretzky-era logo for the respective teams.
Now, it appears that another team will be throwing it back for a rebrand, although we'll have to wait until 2025-26, rather than 2024-25 like the Ducks and Kings.
On Wednesday, Chris Smith from Icethetics shared an update video to his Jersey Watch last week where he shared details about the Ducks and Kings logos and also mentioned that the Minnesota Wild will be wearing new uniforms via a rebrand in 2025-26 featuring North Stars colours.
During both years of the Reverse Retro program, the Wild decided to go with Minnesota North Stars jerseys - white in 2020-21 and green in 2022-23, both of which were quite popular not in their own fan base, but around the league. The popularity, especially of the green uniform made the Wild officially adopt it, albeit with some slight alterations, as their third jersey ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Fans of hockey jerseys in general, like myself, are in for a treat starting this summer with the new Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings uniforms, before the Wild officially throw it back in 2025.
The Minnesota Wild currently deny this.
