As we head towards the trade deadline, which is set for Friday, March 8th, depending on where the Predators sit, they could look to move some of their pending unrestricted free agents, but there's one non-UFA that they're reportedly willing to listen to offers to, and it's a pretty big piece on their roster.
According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, the Predators are willing to listen to offers on goaltender Juuse Saros, who has one year remaining on his contract beyond the 2023-24 season with a cap hit of $5 million. LeBrun added however that the Predators want to sign Saros to an extension and it will take a serious offer for them to even consider moving the netminder.
Saros, a native of Forssa, Finland, is having a bit of a down season when compared to the last couple of years. In 34 games, he has a record of 17-16-1 along with a 3.02 goals against average, a .900 save percentage and two shutouts.
