After spending the 2022-23 season in Switzerland's National League with SC Bern, longtime NHL forward Tyler Ennis is reportedly looking to return to North America.

Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal said in a post on X on Friday that Ennis was at a camp hosted by a former NHL coach and that he may be getting a professional tryout contract from a 'Western-based' team.

"Tyler Ennis was at Perry Pearn's 3on3 camp and hearing he might get PTO, maybe from Western based team. Still has irons in fire back in Switzerland where he played last season." Matheson said.

Ennis, 33, left North America last summer after spending parts of 13 seasons in the National Hockey League with the Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators.

The Edmonton native had a strong season with SC Bern in Switzerland, recording 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) in 37 games and followed that up with three points in five playoff games.
