Daniel Briere wastes no time cuts three players from the Philadelphia Flyers roster, including former first round draft pick
With the Stanley Cup handed out last night teams have already begun to make moves for next season. After already making a trade to begin the offseason, brand new Philadelphia Flyers General Manager has wasted no time in helping his roster take shape.
Today the Flyers made the announcement that they have decided to NOT issue qualifying offers to 3 separate players. The Flyers have also decided to toll the contract of Ivan Fedotov, who appears poised to remain in the KHL after being forced to serve out a punishment as a member of the Russian Military team.
Frank Seravalli shared the following information:
#Flyers did not offer a qualifying offer to Kieffer Bellows, Wyatte Wylie and Evan Barratt, making them UFAs on July 1.
They've also tolled the contract of G Ivan Fedotov. By tolling Fedotov's contract this will allow the Flyers to pause his deal until the goaltender finally makes the transition to North America. Of the players not qualified, the most notable appears to be former 19th overall pick Kieffer Bellows, who the Flyers claimed off of waivers last season.
