After reports shed light on Cam York's involvement in the firing of John Tortorella, new details emerged about an altercation between them.

The Philadelphia Flyers won 6-3 last night against the Montreal Canadiens in their first game since John Tortorella's firing.
In Brad Shaw's first game as the Flyers' interim head coach, defenseman Cam York didn't get a single shift, raising a lot of questions.
After the game, in his press conference, Shaw confirmed that this was a disciplinary measure for York:
Considering the timing of the disciplinary measures, many linked it to Tortorella's firing, and indeed, it seems something happened between them.
Later, The Athletic's Kevin Kurz reported that a team source told him, "it's fair to say" that it happened:
Now, in a new development, Frank Seravalli confirmed that there had been no physical altercation between York and Tortorella, but likely a heated verbal exchange, which led to York being benched.
It could take years before official details on their relationship emerge, but some hints suggest it wasn't good.
Tortorella's unique personality and difficult style of coaching don't fit with all players, and it has often led to feuds in the past.
Here, it looks like York truly wasn't happy with Tortorella, and vice versa. In Tortorella's final game as head coach of the Flyers, York spent less than four minutes on the ice, despite getting over 20 minutes of ice time per game on average this season.
York is expected to be in uniform (and on the ice) for the Flyers' next game, set to go down on Saturday afternoon against the Buffalo Sabres.
This season, the 24-year-old defenseman scored 15 points, including four goals, in 58 games. He has a -7 rating and 22 penalty minutes. In his career, he scored 75 points in 222 games, across five seasons with the Flyers.
