Pittsburgh Penguins President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas has had a fairly busy summer thus far. He re-signed Tristan Jarry, as well as signing defenceman Ryan Graves, forwards Lars Eller, Matt Nieto, Noel Acciari and goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic.
There's no question that Dubas wants to keep the Penguins' window to win a Stanley Cup open for as long as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang are on the roster and he may have one more big move lined up this summer.
While they've been linked to him for a number of weeks now, according to Rob Rossi of The Athletic, Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang want the Penguins to acquire San Jose Sharks defenceman Erik Karlsson.
Karlsson, 33, is coming off his third Norris Memorial Trophy after putting up a remarkable 101 points in 82 games for the San Jose Sharks this season. Along with the Penguins, the Carolina Hurricanes are also in on the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes.
