Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has some big decisions to make over the summer, especially when it comes to the team's core 4. According to the latest report, Treliving is already hedging his bets when it comes to keeping William Nylander.
On the latest Insider Trading, TSN's Pierre LeBrun said Treliving is expected to meet with Nylander's agent by the end of this week. Nylander is entering the final year of a six-year deal worth $6.96 per season. Keeping the 27-year-old forward is going to be costly, and LeBrun said Treliving is receiving calls, meaning he has offers if that's the route he wants to take.
As for what Nylander wants to remain in Toronto, there's been no official number from any credible sources. Some podcasts have mentioned in the vicinity of $10 million, which would leave Treliving little choice but to either drop him, or one of the other team's high price tag players.
