Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz gave up a bad goal to David Perron on Thursday night but the team won, so who really cares at this point?

Anthony Stolarz had struggled a bit towards the end of the series against the Ottawa Senators, especially in Game 4 where he allowed four goals on 21 shots.
However, on Thursday night in Game 6, the goaltender was solid as he stopped 20 of 22 shots and had some massive saves down the stretch.
Unfortunately, he did give up a leaky goal to David Perron in the third period, which turned out to be the tying goal. Eventually, Max Pacioretty scored the game-winner a few minutes later.

Anthony Stolarz cracks jokes after Toronto Maple Leafs win

After the game, Stolarz was asked about giving up that goal and what he was thinking on the play.
As it turns out, the goaltender gave a very honest, yet hilariously NSFW answer about what was going on. Essentially, he thought the poke check would work, but he was very wrong.
"Got a little horny on the poke check, so you live and you learn. And that's the life of a goaltender. You just flush it out of your mind because the next shot's coming, and it's a more important one than the last one that just went in."
After dispatching the Ottawa Senators, the Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Florida Panthers in the second round, which is a nightmare scenario.
Overall, it is going to be difficult for the Leafs to win this series and there is no telling if Anthony Stolarz will get Game 1.
The 2.21 goals-against average is nice but the .901 save percentage is something to think about. Clearly, Stolarz needed a break after Game 3.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs are able to keep some momentum going. The way the Panthers destroyed the Tampa Bay Lightning should be very concerning.
