Auston Matthews & Craig Berube are at odds, and their post-game comments prove it

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews is struggling right now, and it appears as though he and his head coach, Craig Berube, can't see eye to eye.
The Toronto Maple Leafs lost yet another game on Saturday night, this time against the Nashville Predators, who were a beatable team.
It was a 5-3 final score, and once again, captain Auston Matthews finished the game without a single point, which is simply not good enough.
The effort has been awful, and there is a sense that Leafs head coach Craig Berube could end up losing his job if things don't turn around.
After the game, Berube and Matthews were asked about the loss, and the range of answers was actually quite concerning for the Leafs and their camaraderie.

Berube was quick to blame the loss on mental lapses, and how the team is making a ton of mistakes and the worst possible times.
Yeah, it is. It's mental, for sure. We've got to get through it. We've got to get over that. We've got to make better decisions throughout the game.
Meanwhile, Auston Matthews is saying that everything is fine on the mental side, which could not be further from the truth. Ultimately, it runs contrary to his head coach.
I think mentally we're fine. I thought tonight, as shitty as it is losing, I thought the process was better. I thought we had good energy all night. And even though you're leaving the rink upset, not getting out of any points in tonight's game, I think just the process that we had throughout is something that we can take and move forward.
At the end of the day, this is a very bad look for the Maple Leafs, who now have to prepare to play against the Dallas Stars tonight.
If they lose again, there is a very real possibility that Craig Berube loses his job, and the way they're playing, it is looking like a likely scenario.
