Toronto Maple Leafs forward Bobby McMann has been sensational this season, but according to Nick Kypreos, a tough decision is coming up.

Bobby McMann has been a real revelation for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, as the forward has 13 goals and 10 assists in the first 41 games of the season.
He is on track for 26 goals and 46 points, which would easily be the best season of his career thus far. There are big things happening here, although the Leafs are faced with a tough reality.
The forward is going to be a free agent in the Summer, and with the salary cap going up, and McMann becoming a better player, things could get expensive.
In fact, according to Nick Kypreos, there are rumblings of just how much McMann's next contract is going to end up being worth.

Keep Bobby McMann, or trade him?

As Kypreos reports, there is a very real possibility that McMann ends up fetching a total of $4 million per season on the open market.
However, if the Leafs decide to trade him at the deadline, they could get at least two solid assets in return, which would help them tremendously.
Per Nick Kypreos, Bobby McMann could command as much as $4 million per season on the open market. If the Leafs go the other way, a trade would bring two quality pieces back.
This is one of those decisions that keeps general manager Brad Treliving up at night. The Leafs want to make the playoffs, and McMann helps them achieve that.
However, McMann was awful in the playoffs last season, which led to concerns about his mental strength in the postseason.
Based on his production, the gut reaction would be to keep him. In two months from now, doing so might not make sense anymore.
