Bobby McMann traded by the Maple Leafs: A price has been determined

This season has been a good one for Bobby McMann, as the forward currently has 21 points in 39 games and continues to push the envelope.

McMann is a player who was a late bloomer, and no one would have ever expected the success he went on to have with the Leafs organization.

Having said that, the Maple Leafs are in a peculiar position right now. They are outside of a playoff spot, and despite their insistence on being buyers at the trade deadline, there is a real possibility that they sell off assets.

McMann is going to be a free agent at the end of the season, and this creates a scenario in which the forward could be a trade chip come March.

According to one account on X, McMann is very comparable to Anthony Beauvillier in terms of his age, contract, and production.

As it turns out, Beauvillier was traded for a second-round pick last season. That is something Leafs general manager Brad Treliving should be thinking about right now.

A second-round pick would help this Leafs team a lot. After all, they are short on prospects, and a second-rounder could be where the Leafs find some offensive talent.

Of course, whether or not McMann gets traded is something that fully hinges on whether or not the team is willing to sell come March.

For now, the Leafs are two points out of a playoff spot. With that being said, they are probably going to give it another month before making any rash decisions.

McMann remains one of the team's more productive players, and it's hard to imagine the roster without his services right now.
