Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand is about to get a ton of offers in free agency, and the Toronto Maple Leafs are one of those teams hoping for a miracle.
Brad Marchand has been one of the most talked-about players during the run-up to free agency, and there is a very good reason for that.
Overall, he is a playoff powerhouse who consistently plays at a high level. The Florida Panthers understand this, as Marchand helped them win a Stanley Cup this season.
Now that he is a free agent, numerous teams want in on the action, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are set to make him a priority on July 1st.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like a Marchand signing is going to get done for the Leafs, at least not according to Darren Dreger.
While on TSN 'First Up,' this morning, Dreger made it clear that it is like Marchand just sticks around in Florida for a few more years.

You can't really blame the guy for wanting to do that. Of course, the Panthers are Stanley Cup contenders and will be for quite some time.
With Marchand and Sam Bennett back on the team, these Panthers have an amazing chance of scoring the first three-peat since the 80s New York Islanders.
If you are a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, this news will be disappointing, although it isn't final. There is always a chance Marchand changes his mind.
Whatever the case may be, tomorrow is going to be an epic day, and a lot could happen.
