The fans have spoken, and they believe if the Toronto Maple Leafs fail to make the playoffs this season, they want to see general manager Brad Treliving fired, he has received the majority of the blame for how poor this season has gone.

The Maple Leafs have been on a decline in recent years, but this season has capped off the disaster the most.

Brad Treliving's job is under fire with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Joshua Kloke of the Athletic reported on the pressure Treliving is facing heading into the Trade Deadline, and the playoffs. The Leafs have already declared they will be sellers at the deadline, and pretty much taking themselves out of the running for the playoffs. Does that mean Treliving's job is already gone?
"Can Treliving survive a season in which the Leafs miss the playoffs, especially considering this is a roster he had nearly full control over building? Clearly, Leafs fans believe not. The more pertinent question right now: if the Leafs decide to re-tool the roster, should it be Treliving at the helm of the retool?"-Kloke

MLSE President Keith Pelley is also to blame for how poor this season has gone, and hasn't allowed Treliving to do his job in a normal setting. When Brendan Shanahan left Pelley did not hire another president of hockey operations, instead Treliving was to answer directly to Pelley, and Pelley has zero experience running a hockey team.
"In the midst of a disappointing season, Leafs fans are turning their ire all the way to the top. Less than 10 percent of respondents registered confidence in MLSE president Keith Pelley’s ability to turn the Leafs around."-Kloke

It doesn't seem like there is much hope from the Toronto faithful, and the head office and ownership are under a lot of pressure to deliver in years to come. For now it doesn't seem like they are equipped to handle the pressure.
