NHL Insider all but confirms where Bobby McMann will be Traded

The Toronto Maple Leafs are adamant on trading Bobby McMann at the NHL Trade Deadline, and NHL insider Chris Johnston believes the only realistic destination for him is the Edmonton Oilers.
The Oilers need some depth scoring and McMann is the only 20-goal scorer available at the deadline.
Bobby McMann expected to go to the Edmonton Oilers.
Spencer Lazary of the Hockey Writers reported on Chris Johnston's comments regarding McMann's likely destination. McMann provides excellent value at his cap hit, and would add a lot of physicality and some added goal scoring for the Oilers.
"According to Johnston, the Oilers are looking for a player to round out their top nine. McMann checks a lot of those boxes. He already has 19 goals this season and brings a heavy, physical game that fits well alongside elite talent. Johnston also noted, there won’t be another 20-goal scorer available at this deadline with a cap hit as low as McMann’s."-Lazary
A lot of teams will be picking up the phone for him, Johnston believes the Oilers will pay extra for him compared to most teams, because they are desperate to win and get Connor McDavid his first Stanley Cup.
"Reports suggested Maple Leafs general manager (GM) Brad Treliving is asking for a first-round pick in return for McMann. That’s not a small ask. If Edmonton isn’t willing to part with a first-rounder, the return could shift toward multiple second-round picks with a prospect, or even a very sought-after prospect instead."-Lazary
The Maple Leafs are in a very advantageous situation when it comes to McMann becomes at such a low cap hit, they can retain half his salary, and virtually every playoff team becomes an option to trade for him. And the Maple Leafs can have their pick at the best offer.
