Confusion Plagues Scotiabank Arena as Fire Alarm Disrupts Toronto Maple Preseason Game
Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Montreal Canadiens at the Scotiabank Arena, but a fire alarm is disrupting some of the fans right now.
The Scotiabank Arena is certainly one of the best facilities in the entire NHL, although it seems like there are some safety concerns right now.
With the Leafs taking on the Canadiens, some sort of emergency is going on, but the game is still taking place in the midst of it.
Fire Alarm disrupts Toronto Maple Leafs game
According to David Alter of The Hockey News, the fire alarm has been going off, yet no one has done anything about it.
The sound is quite loud, and for the most part, there has been a lack of urgency from staff around the building to do something about it.
At this time, no one knows if the alarm is because of a fire or if a prankster yanked the alarm somewhere along the line.
Others on social media have noted the noise, claiming that it has been very annoying and won't stop. One even said that they can hear it on the broadcast.
After the first period on this game, the Montreal Canadiens are winning 1-0. This is a lineup with a good mix of young and veteran players.
Anthony Stolarz is in goal, making his first start of the preseason. He is currently being backed up by Artur Akhtyamov.
The last 40 minutes of this game should be pretty interesting, with both teams looking to beat up on each other. Sure, it's just preseason, but this is an epic rivalry for a reason.
Hopefully, the Maple Leafs can get things together here, and finish off this game, once and for all.
