Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz has missed over a month with an injury, and now, head coach Craig Berube is confirming some worrisome information.

When Anthony Stolarz got injured over a month ago, the expectation was that he would be able to return in short order and give his team something to be excited about.
However, a month has gone by, and Stolarz has yet to return to the ice. There have been all sorts of rumblings about what the goalie might be dealing with, and fans are getting worried.
After some concussion issues in the playoffs last season, some believe that Stolarz is dealing with some sort of head issue. After all, his injury was designated as upper-body.
At morning skate today, Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube discussed Stolarz's injury, and as you are about to see, the update was not what fans were hoping for.

What is wrong with Anthony Stolarz?

According to Berube, Stolarz does not have a concussion. You would think that this would be a good update that would excite the fanbase and the media.
Unfortunately, it appears to be getting worse. The goaltender is not improving, and as the head coach explains, he is now going to have to see a specialist.
At this time, it is still unclear what Stolarz's issue is. Whether it be head, shoulder, or chest-related, it has been enough to keep him out of the Leafs' lineup.
This is very bad news, although one thing that the Leafs can hang their hats on is the fact that Joseph Woll is back in the lineup tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks.
For now, the Maple Leafs will have to keep Dennis Hildeby as their backup, although considering his play this season, that isn't a bad thing at all.
Only time will tell whether or not the Stolarz situation works itself out, or if it will only continue to get worse as the season goes on.
