Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has been working his way back to the ice, and tonight, fans are wondering if he will play against the Chicago Blackhawks.

A couple of weeks ago, Joseph Woll got injured against the Carolina Hurricanes, and it put the Maple Leafs in an extremely difficult situation, especially with Anthony Stolarz out, as well.
The Leafs were forced to call up Artur Akhtyamov, while making Dennis Hildeby their starter for the foreseeable future. Both goalies were solid, but cracks started to show on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
There were hopes that Woll could be back as soon as tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks. After all, he has been participating in practice for a week now.

Is Joseph Woll playing tonight?

Just moments ago, the Maple Leafs confirmed that Joseph Woll will, in fact, be playing against the Blackhawks on Tuesday night, which is huge for this team.
The Maple Leafs have been jonesing for some good news, and tonight, they will get their starting goaltender back, which is a huge bonus for this team.
Whether or not it results in a win is still something that remains to be seen. Although we're sure the team will have some extra pep in its step.
The Maple Leafs currently sit in sixth place in the Atlantic Division, and it is becoming crystal clear that they need some good fortune, very fast.
If they can't get that good fortune, then they will only fall deeper and deeper into the depths of the division, which is not something fans are truly ready for.
However, with Woll back, the Leafs have a much better chance of securing a win, especially with Connor Bedard out of the Blackhawks' lineup.
Tonight's game will be a litmus test, and there is a real sense that if this doesn't turn around before Christmas, the Leafs are missing the postseason.
