Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube recently unveiled his master plan for Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby, and he is sticking to it...for now.

With Anthony Stolarz injured, the Toronto Maple Leafs cannot afford for any of their goaltenders to get injured right now. This is especially true now that Joseph Woll has returned from his very own injury.
On Tuesday night, he handled business against the Chicago Blackhawks. On Thursday night, there has been speculation about whether or not Dennis Hildeby would get the call against the Washington Capitals.
Earlier this week, Leafs head coach Craig Berube revealed he had renewed confidence in Hildeby and that, in order to preserve Woll, he would split the goaltenders more evenly.
This weekend, the Leafs have a back-to-back with the Nashville Predators and the Dallas Stars, which has put Berube's word to the test. As it turns out, he is honoring the plan without any compromises.

Dennis Hildeby starts against the Washington Capitals

Hildeby will be getting the start against the Capitals tonight, according to David Alter of The Hockey News. This means Joseph Woll gets the Predators on Saturday, and Hildeby gets the Stars on Sunday.
This is the perfect way to go about things. Hildeby has proven that he can steal a win, and that is what the team will hope for against the Capitals.
It is an important game for the Maple Leafs, who are currently in a bit of a weird spot when it comes to the Atlantic Division standings. They are four points out of third place and need to start winning.

Dennis Hildeby shines this season

Dennis Hildeby has solid numbers this season. Through 11 appearances, he has a goals-against average of 2.72 and a save percentage of .923.
A few games ago, he even picked up the first shutout of his career, which is a major accomplishment that is certainly worth some kind of recognition.
These performances have earned him a start tonight, and it will be interesting to see if he can keep this up throughout Stolarz's mysterious absence.
