Darren Dreger makes ominous prediction surrounding Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz

Anthony Stolarz has not played a game for the Toronto Maple Leafs since early November, and there are fears that he might not return this season.

The goaltender has not skated in over a month, and every time Leafs head coach Craig Berube is asked about Stolarz, he makes the claim that the goalie is not progressing.

On Tuesday, Berube finally gave up some information, noting that Stolarz does not have a concussion and that soon, he will be visiting a specialist to learn more.

While this is encouraging, it still doesn't say anything about what the netminder is going through, and whether or not his injury is one that he can come back from.

During yesterday's edition of TSN 1050 'OverDrive,' TSN insider Darren Dreger spoke about the situation and pondered who is to blame for the lack of transparency.

The insider believes MLSE is not at fault here. Instead, it feels as though this is a very specific problem with the Maple Leafs organization.

However, Dreger did predict that the Leafs will have no choice but to change course very soon, and that eventually, the Leafs will start to provide the media with more information.

Whatever the case may be, this has all been very bizarre, and the fans are starting to grow concerned about how the franchise has abandoned transparency.

While the team will continue with Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby, Stolarz remains a mystery, and an expensive one at that, given his recent contract extension.

As the New Year approaches, the Stolarz situation will only get more intense, and the fans are starting to grow fed up. Whether or not the Leafs provide new information is as good of a guess as any.
