Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is dealing with lots of injuries right now, including one involving superstar forward William Nylander.

William Nylander got injured against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night, which forced him to miss the game against the Detroit Red Wings.
On Tuesday, the Leafs got horrible news as it was revealed that Dakota Joshua and Chris Tanev would be out of the lineup. Meanwhile, Auston Matthews would be a game-time decision.
The injuries are just piling up, and with Nylander designated as day-to-day, the Leafs are in a position where the offense is completely depleted.
It's a bit of a nightmare for head coach Craig Berube, who now has to put together a lineup that can go against a struggling team in the Metropolitan Division.

After the morning skate, Berube spoke to the media, where he was asked about Nylander and his condition going forward.
The head coach acknowledged that the Winger is feeling a lot better these days, which is good to hear. However, he is going to have to miss another game.
This is not good news for the Maple Leafs, who now have to go with a second line consisting of Easton Cowan, Nicolas Roy, and Nick Robertson.
Overall, this is not the kind of second line that is going to win you games. If Matthews is confirmed to be out of the lineup, then the Leafs are in a world of hurt.
Ultimately, this is all just a microcosm of the issues that the Leafs have had over the past few months. Injuries continue to bury them, everywhere they go.
It's a tough situation, and one that is not going to be fixed soon. For now, it is simply a predicament the team will have to learn to live with.
