Craig Berube's Line Combinations at Training Camp Seal David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok's Fates

If you have been paying attention to the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer, then you know that David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok are two players the Leafs are trying to trade.

So far, they have been unsuccessful in that endeavor, as there just hasn't really been much of a market for them so far. It is unfortunate, but it is the truth.

With training camp officially underway, many have been interested to see where Kampf and Jarnkrok fall in the lineup and if they will be able to make the roster.

As it turns out, Craig Berube may have just given us our answer thanks to the Group 1 line combinations that were reported by Luke Fox on Thursday morning.

Below, you can see that Matias Maccelli got to play on the first line with Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews. Meanwhile, what appears to be the fourth line was Steven Lorentz, Scott Laughton, and Nick Robertson.

Meanwhile, the leftovers were Michael Pezzetta, David Kampf, and Calle Jarnkrok. Needless to say, the two forwards are not part of the Top 12 forwards right now.

This seems to suggest that Kampf and Jarnkrok could very well be on the way out sometime soon. Whether that be through trade, waivers, or buyout.

Ultimately, this is not a good thing for the two forwards whatsoever. If you are a Leafs fan, you can't help but think their time in Toronto is done.

Of course, they could end up getting a chance due to injuries, but there are only so many spots on the roster right now.
