Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was speaking to the media today, where he revealed an injury so gnarly that fans almost could not believe it.

Craig Berube is currently preparing the Toronto Maple Leafs for a huge game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, which could determine their playoff hopes.
It also just so happens to be the grand return of Mitch Marner in the city, and there is a whole lot of discourse concerning whether or not the fans should even be booing.
At the end of the day, there are a lot of angry Leafs fans in Toronto, and we're sure this game is going to be filled with some vitriol.
With that being said, Berube is also dealing with a pretty nasty injury that he sustained while working out in the gym, and there is no doubt that it looks pretty bad.

Craig Berube on his nasty head injury

While speaking to reporters, Berube showed off the injury underneath his baseball cap, and it was truly one of the most shocking things we have seen.
We're not sure what Berube did in the gym for this to happen, but it certainly couldn't have been very good. If you look below, you can see that much of his head is covered in a gash.
Thankfully, it appears as though Berube is going to be just fine going forward, even if he is a little bit worse for wear, given what transpired to his head.
Ultimately, Berube is looking to have a big game for his team, and he will forget about the injury as soon as the game starts.
The building is going to be incredibly loud tonight, and you can't help but wonder whether or not the Maple Leafs are going to be able to rise to the occasion.
If they do, then their playoff hopes will be that much more legit, much to the adoration of this starved fanbase.
