Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube stunned everyone with his brutal head injury, and as it turns out, the fine details are even more harrowing.
Craig Berube recently suffered a gruesome head injury, and it was the talk of the NHL just a few nights ago as the gash on his head was very visible.
The coach even had a black eye, which made the injury look that much worse. Ultimately, it was one of those situations that really makes you wonder, what happened?
In the end, Berube told the media that he suffered the injury at the gym. However, at the time, he didn't say exactly what happened.
One has to assume he dropped some weight on his head, and he must have done so in some pretty significant fashion.
Craig Berube discusses his head injury
On Saturday, the Maple Leafs had a practice, and it was here that Berube unveiled some extra details about his horrifying injury.
Essentially, the head coach had to get a total of 50 stitches on his head. That is a lot of work done, but when you look at his head, it makes a lot of sense.
Ultimately, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to need the best out of Craig Berube going forward. The team is five points out of a playoff spot and needs guidance.
The Leafs are one of those teams that need to start winning, and with the Colorado Avalanche strolling into town, that is not going to be easy.
With that being said, it should be interesting to see how this all ends up playing out. Leafs fans are unsurprisingly very anxious about this.
When the team isn't playing well, this is just a natural way to feel. It's going to be on Berube to wrangle up his team and change their fortunes.
