Dakota Joshua Runs Into Anthony Stolarz in Terrifying Scrimmage Moment
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua is setting himself up for a big season with the franchise, although Anthony Stolarz almost faced his wrath.
Dakota Joshua is coming into this season looking to have a bounce-back campaign. After a battle with cancer, Joshua returned to the Vancouver Canucks, but wasn't himself.
Now, he is reunited with his former head coach Craig Berube, and he will likely be playing on the team's third line with Nicolas Roy and Bobby McMann.
Overall, it is going to be an interesting season, and with preseason matches coming up fast, there is no doubt that the hype will become astronomical.
Anthony Stolarz bulldozed by Dakota Joshua
Today, both training camp groups took part in a scrimmage, that was actually broadcast by Sportsnet, because there is quite frankly, nothing better to do.
There were only two goals scored during the entire scrimmage, and overall, it was actually quite boring. Although one moment had fans cringing.
Of course we are talking about the moment in which Dakota Joshua and Anthony Stolarz collided. Stolarz has a history with injuries, and fans were naturally concerned.
Thankfully, both players were unharmed from the incident. This is great news for the Maple Leafs, who don't have to freak out about a potential injury so early into camp.
Tomorrow, the Maple Leafs will play against the Ottawa Senators in the first preseason game, which is going to be a lot of fun.
It will be very interesting to see how the Maple Leafs swing this, and which players will end up being subjected to cuts.
Overall, we are excited to watch, and it is nice to finally have NHL hockey back.
