Leafs Coach Craig Berube Makes Worrisome Comments About Max Domi's Injury
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is currently dealing with a lower-body injury, and on Friday, we got a troubling update from head coach Craig Berube.
Max Domi is set for a major role with the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, as Mitch Marner is now gone, and the team needs someone to fill his shoes.
While the forward did have a down year last season, playing alongside Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies could prove to be the kick in the butt he needs to be great again.
Unfortunately, training camp has not gotten off to a great start for Domi, who is currently dealing with some sort of lower-body injury.
Over the last two days, Domi has been getting in some ice time whenever he can, although he has yet to settle in with his linemates.
Craig Berube on the condition of Max Domi
On Friday, following practice, Craig Berube spoke to the media, where he was honest about the Max Domi situation and how the player is feeling.
He said that while Domi is doing well, he is not sure that the forward is going to be on the ice tomorrow, which is at least a little concerning.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to need Max Domi to be healthy, and while it doesn't seem like this is serious, it still would be best served if it were resolved.
Domi, Matthews, and Knies could very well be a powerhouse this season, but we won't know until we see it in action.
Hopefully, the Maple Leafs are able to get the band back together soon and forge up some chemistry.
This NHL season is going to be a lot of fun, and we cannot wait to get things officially underway.
