According to Elliotte Friedman, a deal is officially imminent. During the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast, the insider explained how both sides are closer than ever to a contract.
In fact, fans should expect Stolarz to be paid close to $4 million per season. The length of the deal is currently unknown.

Getting Stolarz and Joseph Woll under wraps would be huge for the Maple Leafs, as it ensures a top-tier goaltending duo for at least two more seasons.
Stolarz had a goals-against average of 2.14 last season, and while that will be difficult to duplicate, there is no denying that he is ready to prove the doubters wrong.
For the Leafs, getting this deal done will be a huge sigh of relief. Had this gone into the regular season, it could have been a huge distraction.
