Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube and general manager Brad Treliving are on the hot seat, and these last 27 games are going to be crucial for both.
With just 27 games to go in the NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs are struggling to make up ground in the playoff race, and fans are getting upset.
They are eight points back of the second Wild Card spot, and it feels unlikely that they will be able to make up the necessary ground.
With that being said, both Craig Berube and Brad Treliving are in trouble. It was believed that Berube was on the hot seat back in December. Now, Treliving is in the most trouble.
It is a tough spot to be in, and according to former Leafs GM Gord Stellick, their futures are pretty well set in stone.

No matter what happens, Stellick does believe that the Maple Leafs will let Berube and Treliving keep their jobs until the end of the season.
However, if things don't improve, then both of them are probably going to be let go, since they were unable to meet the moment.
I think both guys [Berube & Treliving] will get the run to the end of the season—for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to the fans in Toronto is winning. The same can be said of the organization.
Over the years, this organization has underachieved, and MLSE CEO Keith Pelley isn't going to stand for the mediocrity being exhibited.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs can turn this around, and save the jobs of both Berube and Treliving in one fell swoop.
