Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving got rid of Fraser Minten last season, and the move is now haunting him in the worst way possible.
Fraser Minten is a player who was showing lots of potential with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, and fans were eager to see what he could do.
In the end, the Leafs ended up trading him as part of a package for none other than defenseman Brandon Carlo, who has been hit or miss.
Meanwhile, Minten has been a stud for the Bruins this season. He has played in 55 games and currently has 14 goals, 15 assists, and 29 points.
Leafs fans cannot help but feel a little bit jealous right now, and rightfully so, given just how phenomenal the Bruins are looking in the second half of the season.
Fraser Minten has the right idea
Recently, Minten was interviewed about his mentality this season and why he has found some success in the National Hockey League.
This led to a truly impressive answer in which he revealed that he doesn't care about where in the lineup he plays. At the end of the day, he just wants to be in the NHL.
I just want to play in the NHL. Play me wherever. I don’t care.
This is an incredibly mature answer that proves just how much of a real gem Fraser Minten is. Unfortunately, the Leafs don't have a guy like that.
The players on the Maple Leafs have proven to be a bit more selfish, and it has ultimately put the team in a pretty miserable situation.
Only time will tell whether or not Minten countinues to get revenge on the Leafs, or if Toronto can even up the trade deficit.
