Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll got injured against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, and now, there are growing concerns about his long-term health.
Joseph Woll has been a stud since returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs roster, although things have taken a harsh turn thanks to a recent injury against the Carolina Hurricanes.
As of Saturday morning, we still do not know what is next for Woll. Whether or not he will have to miss time is something that has not been discussed yet. At least not publicly.
The plan was for Dennis Hildeby to play tonight against the Montreal Canadiens, which means Woll is getting some extra days off regardless.
However, the concern around the Maple Leafs franchise is growing, and analysts like Jamie McLennan are saying what everyone is thinking.

As McLennan revealed, he has some very real concerns about Woll right now, as the way he was flexing his leg looked pretty bad.
This was echoed by former Leaf Jeff O'Neill, who feels as though all of these injuries have compromised Woll's viability as an NHL goalie.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are without Joseph Woll right now, and they are also without Anthony Stolarz, which is a worst-case scenario.
If Woll has to miss a prolonged period of time, then the team is going to have to go out and call up Artur Akhtyamov from the Toronto Marlies.
Hildeby and Akhtyamov is not the tandem you want when your goal is to make the playoffs and leapfrog your Atlantic Division rivals.
For now, fans will just have to be patient, and hope that the Woll situation doesn't deteriorate any further.
