Insider reveals six players the Toronto Maple Leafs are thinking of trading at the deadline

This year's NHL trade deadline is going to be fascinating, especially for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who still don't know what they want to do.

The team is eight points back of a playoff spot. By the Olympic Break, the Leafs are likely to be sellers as opposed to buyers. Having said that, general manager Brad Treliving is still holding out hope.

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Leafs are very likely to be sellers. In fact, they have already started shopping some of their players.

Having said that, there are now questions about who might be traded, and whether or not those players can bring back some big-time assets.

In a new report from James Mirtle and Chris Johnston, it was revealed that guys like Bobby McMann, Nicolas Roy, and even Calle Jarnkrok could bring back trade value.

However, there are six guys who might be dealt depending on the market conditions, and they are guys who are heavy-hitters, figuratively speaking.

The players in question are Max Domi, Matias Maccelli, Morgan Rielly, Nick Robertson, Anthony Stolarz, and Troy Stecher.

Only time will tell whether or not any of these guys end up getting traded. At the end of the day, there is still a lot that can happen over the coming weeks.

Having said that, this is going to be a wild end to the season, and the future of the franchise certainly hangs in the balance.

It has been a tough year for this team, but who knows? Stranger things can happen. They may just make the postseason with a late-season run.
