Jacob Quillan sends a message to Craig Berube after AHL demotion

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jacob Quillan was sent back down to the Toronto Marlies on Friday, and he is already making Craig Berube look foolish.
Jacob Quillan is a 23-year-old talent for the Toronto Maple Leafs who has shown some tremendous promise, despite only getting three games with the team this season.
On Friday, he was sent back down to the Toronto Marlies after a brief stint with the Leafs, in which head coach Craig Berube refused to play him.
It was a disappointing situation for Quillan, especially when you consider how he is someone who deserves to get some playing time.
Having said that, on Friday night, Quillan certainly made Berube look silly after having the game of his life against the Belleville Senators.
Jacob Quillan has the game of his life with the Marlies
In a 6-1 victory, Quillan had the game of his life, scoring a hat trick, the first of his professional hockey career. He also added an assist for four total points.
It was a phenomenal performance from the kid and one that is absolutely going to make a huge impact for the Marlies going forward.
With 27 points in 27 games, Quillan is absolutely someone that the Maple Leafs should be taking seriously right now, and it's tough that he can't get an opportunity.
In the meantime, the Maple Leafs are trying to make the playoffs, which, in fairness to Berube, does take quite a few veteran players.
The Leafs are playing against the Vancouver Canucks and there is no doubt that there is going to be a lot of attention on this game.
If the Leafs can pull off the win, then they could very well end up in a Wild Card spot.
