Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has missed the last few games with a leg injury, although it appears as though he could be coming back soon enough.
Joseph Woll has been great this season, and the Maple Leafs have certainly been happy to have him back on the roster.
Unfortunately, a few games ago, he went down with an injury, and it has forced Dennis Hildeby to step up and be the guy for this team going forward.
The Maple Leafs have won a few with Hildeby as the starter, and tonight against the San Jose Sharks, they will be looking to win another.
Having said that, fans are still hoping for Woll to come back soon, as in many respects, he has proven to be the heart and soul of the organization.
When is Joseph Woll coming back?
Today, the Leafs actually got some very good news on the Woll front. For instance, the goaltender was on the ice during practice, and was taking shots.
Furthermore, it was revealed by reporter David Alter that Woll is eligible to come off the injured reserve as of Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers.
Given the way Woll is ramping up his action, it would appear as though this is a confirmation of sorts that the goalie will be back on Saturday.
If he doesn't come back in time for that game, then the Maple Leafs will likely keep him sidelined until Tuesday, when the Leafs play the Chicago Blackhawks.
Whatever the case may be, Woll is gearing up to return, and that is great news for the Leafs, who would love to be back at full strength.
As for Dennis Hildeby, he has been solid in Woll's absence, and we are eager to see what else he is able to pull off.
