Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews was recently part of a new ad campaign about the Winter Olympics, and it has to do with Team USA and Canada.
Auston Matthews is going to be the captain for Team USA at the Winter Olympics in Italy, and there is no denying the fact that fans are curious about how the tournament will go.
Team Canada beat Team USA at the Four Nations Face-Off. It was a phenomenal tournament, and the hatred between both countries was palpable.
However, going into the Olympics, there is no telling how things will go. It will either be cordial and competitive or yet another all-out brawl.
If one thing is for certain, it is that Team USA is looking for revenge on Team Canada, and they will do absolutely anything to turn that revenge into a reality.
Auston Matthews teams up with Jon Hamm
Over the weekend, Team USA and NBC put out an advertisement for the Olympics, and it features the biggest superstars for the United States, as well as actor Jon Hamm.
As you can see below, there is a menacing message being given to Team Canada here, and captain Auston Matthews is taking part in all of it, which is fun to see.
If there is one thing for certain right about now, it is that there is a lot of interest around the Winter Games, especially as it pertains to the rink.
As it stands, the dimensions for the rink are incorrect, and this has led to lots of scrutiny. This has only been made worse by the fact that he rink isn't even ready.
There are fears that the hockey games might have to be played in a neighboring country like Switzerland, which would be devastating for Olympic organizers.
Whatever the case may be, it does not appear as though the NHL will get involved, nor will they end up keeping the players home.
