Nick Robertson Finally Gets a Crumb of Praise from Leafs Head Coach Craig Berube
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson has a lot riding on training camp right now, and according to Craig Berube, there is actually reason to be excited.
Craig Berube hasn't always been the biggest fan of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson. This was especially true in the playoffs as the kid was subjected to multiple scratches.
Having said that, Robertson was given another contract this Summer, which means there is an opportunity for the forward to make a real impact.
Training camp has begun, and this is where the forward can show his head coach that he is someone worth giving ice time to, even if it's on the fourth line.

Following the first day of camp, Berube was actually asked about Robertson and his potential going into this upcoming season.
It led to some honesty from Berube, who felt as though Robertson's intensity was something worth mentioning. Clearly, the forward is motivated.
Craig Berube says Nick Robertson was «noticeable» and «intense» on the first day of Leafs camp.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time we have heard these words about Robertson in training camp. Oftentimes, he looks great, only to dissappoint in season.
Having said that, this is a time for him to prove people wrong, and have one of the best seasons of his career in order to win a role going forward.
If not, then the Maple Leafs are probably just going to have to trade him, and cut their losses, once and for all.
Either way, we are just very excited for this upcoming season and everything that is going to come with.
