Toronto Maple Leafs forwards William Nylander and Dakota Joshua missed morning skate due to illness, and now, we know whether or not they will play.
This morning, the Toronto Maple Leafs got some bad news as William Nylander and Dakota Joshua were absent from morning skate.
It was revealed that both players would be game-time decisions against the Edmonton Oilers in a game that is very important for the Maple Leafs.
The Leafs are fighting for a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division, and there is no denying that they need all the help they can get.
Going without Nylander and Joshua tonight could be disastrous, especially when you realize how much firepower the Leafs really have.
Are William Nylander and Dakota Joshua playing tonight?
Just moments ago, it was confirmed that Joshua would not be playing tonight, as he was not dressed for the warmup and was on the roster as a scratch.
As for William Nylander, he is going to play tonight and was, in fact, in his gear during the warmup, which is great news for the Leafs.
Matias Maccelli was in his gear as well, which suggests that there is an additional forward scratch for this game. Either way, the Leafs will have their superstar.
This will certainly help some fans breathe a bit easier tonight. You never want to go into a game without your best players.
It will be an interesting game tonight with Tristan Jarry making his debut with the Oilers, and he will be motivated to stop pucks.
Only time will tell how this all pans out, and if the Leafs can bring home the win.
