Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving Provides Worrisome Update on Goaltender Joseph Woll
Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll is currently on a leave of absence, and on Monday, general manager Brad Treliving provided a non-update.
Last week, Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll stepped away from the franchise for an indefinite amount of time to deal with a family matter.
This leave of absence left a lot of fans surprised and disheartened. Right now, the franchise is supporting its goaltender throughout this difficult time.
In the interim, the Maple Leafs have brought in James Reimer as a potential backup. However, this has also led to speculation that Woll could be out for a long time.

Today, Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving didn't help matters when he was asked for an update on the team's goaltender.
Simply put, there is no update on Woll right now, and we might not get one for the foreseeable future. As for James Reimer, he will practice with the Toronto Marlies until further notice.

Going into the regular season, Anthony Stolarz will be the starting goaltender. For now, it remains to be seen if Reimer or Dennis Hildeby will be the backup.
Whatever the case may be, fans are very concerned about Woll. The absence has no end in sight, and there is a possibility that he is gone for over a month.
Regardless, family is more important than hockey, and our thoughts are with Woll and his family right now during this difficult time.
