Maple Leafs Goalie Anthony Stolarz Puts the Entire NHL on Notice

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz is looking to prove that last season wasn't a fluke, and his recent comments are putting the entire NHL on notice.
Anthony Stolarz was the biggest surprise of the NHL season, as he delivered a goals-against average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .926.
Overall, it was a solid showing from Stolarz, who had been a backup goalie for his entire career up until last season. Now, he has to go out and prove that he can do it all over again.
Not to mention, he is entering the final year of his two-year contract, which means he is fighting for an extension, or a new contract with a good team.
Anthony Stolarz with a message for the NHL
Recently, Stolarz spoke to Toronto Sports Rush, where he offered his take on the upcoming season. As you can imagine, he is ready to prove himself.
The goaltender has been working hard all offseason long, and it seems like he is trying to improve his cardio and his strength so he can have the best season possible.
The biggest thing I've been focusing on this summer is getting as much cardio and strength into my body as I can. It's not ideal, but at the end of the day, I think it's made me a stronger person mentally-just being able to overcome that adversity.
Five or six years ago, people were counting me out, and maybe I was counting myself out at that time. Just being able to overcome that and be in the position I'm in now, I'm extremely grateful for that.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are very lucky to have Anthony Stolarz, and they are also lucky to have Joseph Woll, giving them an amazing goalie tandem.
If the Maple Leafs really want to dominate for years to come, it might be smart to get Stolarz locked down for the foreseeable future.
However, this might just be a wait and see scenario for the Leafs, who have to make sure that Stolarz isn't just a one hit wonder.
If the goalie has a huge year, then they will have no choice but to keep him around for years to come.
