MLSE Raises Eyebrows After Securing Partnership with the Buffalo Bills of the NFL

For those who may not know, many of Toronto's sports teams are owned by Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment. They have their hands in the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, Blue Jays, and even the Argonauts.

New CEO Keith Pelley is somewhat of a visionary, or at least that is what he wants you to think of him. As a result, he has been making some bold moves.

This past Summer, he got rid of Brendan Shanahan, and he even got rid of Masai Ujiri from the Toronto Raptors. Now, he is setting his sights on the NFL.

Today, it was revealed that MLSE would be going into business with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. Why? To help grow the sport of football in Canada.

MLSE properties will be holding Buffalo Bills-themed giveaways, which is certainly going to raise some eyebrows. Meanwhile, collaborations and youth camps will also be held to leverage the influence of both parties.

This is an interesting idea, although one has to wonder why MLSE would get into business with the Bills if the company also owns the Argonauts of the CFL.

While the Argonauts will be part of this new partnership, it's curious why the Buffalo Bills would need to be involved. Sure, they are the closest NFL team to Canada. But still, this brings about more questions than answers.

Either way, this is going to be a massive deal for the company. If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, expect to see some Buffalo Bills promotion at games.

Only time will tell whether or not this was a match made in heaven or hell.
