Since moving on, Kadri has completely evolved as a player with the Avalanche, winning the Stanley Cup back in 2022, something he would never have done as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The
veteran forward would then willingly sign a free agent deal with the Calgary Flames, where he has gone on to put up career numbers, with his disdain for the Maple Leafs front office seemingly never dissipating. It's unclear why Kyle Dubas was unable to be up front with Kadri and his pregnant partner, as it clearly would have gone a long way to be transparent, but that didn't end up being the case, so you can bet that Kadri has revelled in the success that he has had since leaving Toronto.
