Paul Bissonnette Attempts to Fire Up Mitch Marner After a Couple of Stinkers
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has been struggling as of late and Paul Bissonnette wants to make sure he gets his head back in the game.
Paul Bissonnette is a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and he is one of the many analysts who believes they can win the Cup this year.
In the past, he has been very critical of guys like Mitch Marner, however, he has let up as of late and has tried to take a more encouraging approach with the guys.
Marner certainly needs some encouraging right now as he has been pretty terrible in two-straight losses to the Ottawa Senators.
Paul Bissonnette addresses Mitch Marner
Marner is notoriously bad when a series gets serious and with Game 6 going down tonight, fans are worried about what kind of performance they will get from him.
However, Paul Bissonnette delivered a message to the Toronto Maple Leafs superstar that will certainly resonate. Or at least, we hope so.
"Marner gets bumped by Ullmark and he goes down and then he's crying on the bench. Understand what's happening right now. We're well aware that Stolarz got away with the chop in Game 1 and then Ullmark gives you a love tap and you're going to spend your energy complaining to the referee. Buddy, just dig in. Shut the f*** up and dig in. Just dig in."
Game 6 has been so far so good for the Maple Leafs as they are currently up 2-1 and are smothering the Senators.
Of course, there is still a lot of hockey left to be played and we have no clue how this is going to end. Although with one more goal, you have to figure this game is over.
We hope the Maple Leafs are able to keep the good times rolling here. If they don't, Game 7 is going to make a lot of people anxious.
A win propels them to the second round against the Florida Panthers. A Mitch Marner goal would do wonders right now.
