Top Insider Confirms Negotiations Between Jack Roslovic and the Toronto Maple Leafs
Jack Roslovic has remained a free agent throughout the Summer, although there are some interested teams out there, including the Toronto Maple Leafs.
With training camp set to begin soon, Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been wondering whether or not general manager Brad Treliving would make another move.
So far, he has proven to be conservative with his approach. While he has traded for talented bottom-six guys, he has not taken a huge swing on a true offensive powerhouse.
However, one player has seemingly caught his eye, and that would be none other than Jack Roslovic, who remains without a team despite a 22-goal campaign with the Carolina Hurricanes.

It was recently reported that the Leafs were considering Roslovic for their first line alongside Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies.
Now, Frank Seravalli is reporting that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Roslovic's camp have had some talks as of late. For now, things have yet to progress, although the Carolina Hurricanes aren't ruling out a reunion.
You've got your contenders that are sort of looking to see if Jack Roslovic is willing to bet on himself and take a short-term, short-money deal to repeat the success he had last year in Carolina. I don't think the door is completely closed in Carolina. One of the teams to keep an eye on is the Toronto Maple Leafs. They've had discussions.
Roslovic's best production came in 2021-22 with the Columbus Blue Jackets when he had 22 goals and 23 assists for a total of 45 points.
Overall, it feels as though a first-line assignment for Roslovic would be a lofty one. Even if he wasn't that high up on the totem pole, he would still be able to contribute to this team.
Only time will tell whether or not Roslovic ends up with the Leafs, or if he is forced to continue his hockey career in another league.
If one thing is for certain, it is that this is a story that fans of the Leafs will be following over the coming weeks and perhaps even months.
