Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll is slowly but surely working his way back to the roster, and it is still up in the air as to when exactly he will be back.
Joseph Woll was on a leave of absence from the Toronto Maple Leafs, although he has officially returned to the roster.
He has been practicing this week and is looking to ramp up his ice time so that he can be ready to go in at least a couple of weeks from now.
It has been made clear that Woll will need to work his way back into the lineup, and that is going to take a while.

There's no set plan for Woll's return yet, but he is expected to spend some time in the AHL at some point. The focus is on making sure he feels good. It will take a bit more work for him to get back to a level where he's ready to compete for a crease position.
The team wants to make sure he feels good, and they do not want to rush him back. Both of these things are understandable, and you have to appreciate the approach.
Overall, the Leafs have had some trouble with their goaltending this season as Anthony Stolarz has struggled with the extra workload.
