Toronto Maple Leafs Announce First Wave of Cuts at Training Camp
Today, the Toronto Maple Leafs made the tough decision to cut some players at training camp following the uneventful white vs. blue scrimmage.
With the preseason just one day away, the Toronto Maple Leafs just announced that six players have been cut from training camp.
These players are being sent down to their respective junior teams, where they will get to continue developing their games for years to come.
As you will see, two defensemen were cut, as well as four forwards. Overall, it was a solid showing from the group, but not enough to make the team.

Overall, these cuts were to be expected, especially since players like Nansi, Hlacar, and McCue are all late-round guys.
They are mostly seen as project players, and no one really figured that they would be making the team are seeing preseason action.
Toronto Maple Leafs preseason begins tomorrow
For Toronto Maple Leafs fans, things are about to get really fun as tomorrow, the team is taking on the Ottawa Senators.
This is going to be a match that you shouldn't put a lot of stock into. However, that does not mean you shouldn't tune in and watch.
It will be a great opportunity for guys like Easton Cowan to show their stuff and potentially make their roster.
If Cowan does have a good game, you can be sure that fans will be eager to see him get even more ice time, and perhaps that pro opportunity he's always wanted.
