After a disappointing exit in the first round of the playoffs, the Toronto Maple Leafs made the decision to relieve head coach Sheldon Keefe of his coaching duties. This termination began the search for a new coach and a new direction in the locker room. After an extensive search and interview process, it appears the Maple Leafs have reached a decision
Today Frank Seravalli revealed the Maple Leafs are hiring Craig Berube to be the teams 41st Head Coach.
Sources say Craig Berube will be named the 41st head coach in Toronto Maple #Leafs history.
Berube is one of the few coaches on the market with a Stanley Cup on their resume. Berube is a no-nonsense coach who brings a sense of accountability to whichever locker room he walks into. He's not afraid to call out his best players and demand more from them.
This is huge for the Maple Leafs who are in desperate need of a new voice and accountability in the locker room.
